  - 38.2 Atkritumu apstrāde un izvietošana
    Šajā grupā ietilpst dažādu veidu atkritumu izvietošana un apstrāde pirms izvietošanas, izmantojot dažādus līdzekļus, piemēram, apstrādājot organiskos atkritumus, lai tos izvietotu; dzīvu vai kritušu toksisko dzīvnieku, citu saindētu atkritumu apstrāde un izvietošana; slimnīcu radīto īslaicīgo radioaktīvo atkritumu u.c. atkritumu apstrāde un izvietošana; atkritumu izgāšana uz zemes vai ūdenī; atkritumu aprakšana vai iearšana; izlietotu preču, piemēram, ledusskapju, izvietošana, lai likvidētu kaitīgos atkritumus; atkritumu sadedzināšana. Tā ietver arī tās enerģijas atjaunošanu, kas rodas atkritumu sadedzināšanas procesā.
    
    Šajā grupā neietilpst:
    
    – notekūdeņu attīrīšana un novadīšana, sk. klasi 37.00;
    
    – materiālu otrreizējā pārstrāde, sk. grupu 38.3.
    - 38.21 Atkritumu apstrāde un izvietošana (izņemot bīstamos atkritumus)
      Šī klase ietver šādu cieto vai cita veida nebīstamo atkritumu izvietošanu un apstrādi pirms izvietošanas:
      
      – nebīstamo atkritumu izvietošanai paredzēto poligonu ekspluatācija;
      
      – nebīstamo atkritumu izvietošana, tos sadedzinot vai izmantojot citas metodes, procesā iegūstot vai neiegūstot elektroenerģiju vai tvaiku, kompostu, biodegvielu, biogāzi, pelnus vai citus blakusproduktus turpmākai izmantošanai utt.;
      
      – organisko atkritumu apstrāde pirms izvietošanas.
      
      Šajā klasē neietilpst:
      
      – bīstamo atkritumu sadedzināšana, sk. klasi 38.22;
      
      – tādu iekārtu darbība, kas sajauktus pārstrādājamus materiālus, piemēram, papīru, plastmasu, lietotas dzērienu skārdenes un metālus, sašķiro noteiktās kategorijās, sk. klasi 38.32;
      
      – augsnes, ūdens dekontaminācija, attīrīšana, toksisku materiālu iedarbības mazināšana, sk. klasi 39.00.
