2024-05-08 10:00-12:00 KP, IUB, and KNAB seminar "Fair Business Practices in Procurement"

The Competition Council (KP), the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (IUB), and the Bureau for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption (KNAB) invite entrepreneurs as well as representatives of state and municipal capital companies to participate in an in-person seminar on fair business practices in procurement on May 8th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at KNAB premises, Citadele Street 1.

Participation in public procurement is an integral part of the market participants' business strategy, which constitutes a significant portion of their annual financial turnover. To promote fair competition among companies in procurement, the Competition Council, the Procurement Monitoring Bureau, and the Bureau for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption have prepared practical recommendations for companies participating in procurement, including information on the possible exclusion of companies from procurement, risks of competition and corruption violations in procurement, which have negative consequences on the companies' future operations and development.

The seminar “Fair Business Practices in Procurement” will discuss:

Rules for disqualification of candidates and bidders in procurement - under what circumstances a supplier is excluded from procurement, which individuals are checked, etc., and whether there is a possibility to rectify.

Prohibited agreements in public procurement and practical tools to reduce the risk of prohibited agreements.
