On 11 February and 5 March this year, the Ministry of Economics (MoE), the Development Finance Institution ALTUM, and Elektrum Energy Centre invite you to take part in the webinars “Key Mistakes and Recommendations in Building Renovation.”
The aim of the webinars is to provide practical guidance for ensuring a high-quality building renovation process so that renovated buildings serve their owners for as long as possible and achieve the planned energy-efficiency results.
On 11 February, representatives of the Ministry of Economics will present updates on construction regulatory requirements. Experts from the State Fire and Rescue Service and Sadales tīkls will remind participants about fire safety and electrical safety requirements. Elektrum Energy Centre will offer advice on behavioural changes to ensure that the energy-efficiency indicators achieved after renovation match the intended targets. The event will also cover the renovation of heating systems—common mistakes and ways to avoid them.
On 5 March, experts will focus on the most common mistakes in the installation of rendered and ventilated façades, as well as provide recommendations for high-quality window installation. During the event, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre will inform participants about requirements for construction materials in regulated areas. Representatives of GASO will explain the relocation of gas pipeline connections within the framework of multi-apartment building insulation projects, while the State Labour Inspectorate will present information on identified violations at building renovation sites. A representative of the Latvian Insurers Association will provide insights into insurance issues in construction.
Experts from Rīgas siltums, the Latvian Association of Window and Door Manufacturers, SIA “Augmentum,” the Latvian Association of Building Material Manufacturers, and the Latvian Mineral Wool Manufacturers Association will also participate in the webinars.
The agenda for the 11 February event is available here, and the 5 March agenda and registration are available here.
The webinars are organised by the Ministry of Economics, the Development Finance Institution ALTUM, and Elektrum Energy Centre within the framework of the information campaign “Live Warmer” and the competition “The Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia.”
