The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) invites construction sector manufacturers and service providers to apply for a trade mission to Toronto, which will take place during The Buildings Show 2025, from December 2 to 5. A Latvian national stand will also be featured at the exhibition.

The Buildings Show is North America's largest trade show and conference dedicated to design, construction, and property management. In 2024, the event hosted over 500 companies and attracted more than 18,000 visitors. The event also includes a series of thematic seminars.

Objectives and Program of the Trade Mission:

• Exhibition visit: December 3–5.

• Individual B2B meetings with potential partners.
  Each company will have the opportunity to meet online with a consultant selected by LIAA to discuss its business goals and opportunities in Canada. Based on the company's interests and potential in Canada, partner meetings will be arranged. Where possible, meetings will be organized at the Latvian stand. Companies should be prepared to arrange their own transportation for meetings held outside the exhibition venue.

After registration, LIAA will contact the selected companies to discuss the detailed agenda, which is currently in development.

Costs Involved:

• Participation fee: €597.60 + VAT

  • If a company qualifies for de minimis aid, the fee is covered under the support scheme.

  • If a company does not qualify, LIAA will issue an invoice.

• Travel expenses (airfare, local transport)

• Accommodation expenses (hotel, etc.)

The trade mission is organized by LIAA, and companies can participate either at their own expense or with financial support. To receive support, the company must meet eligibility criteria. Eligibility can be checked using the Self-Assessment Calculator.

With support, companies may be eligible for reimbursement of up to 60% of total eligible expenses.

After the event, companies that qualify based on quality criteria will be able to submit a Payment Request via the Business.gov.lv e-service. Before applying, please review the terms and conditions under the section "Trade Missions Abroad."

This trade mission is organized by LIAA within the framework of the European Regional Development Fund and the Latvian state budget co-financed Innovative Business Development Program for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
