The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) invites municipal building authority employees — building inspectors, civil engineers, and other specialists involved in the construction process — to participate in an online training session on ethical construction supervision.
The KNAB training will take place online on October 30 from 10:00 to 12:00.

An analysis published by KNAB in March this year shows that municipal building inspectors are exposed to relatively high risks of corruption and conflicts of interest, due to various factors.
To strengthen the understanding of these risks and how to prevent them, recognize forms and manifestations of corruption, and develop the ability to identify risks early and act in accordance with legal and ethical principles, KNAB invites you to join this online training.

During the training, building authority representatives will gain:

  • Knowledge of the nature and legal framework of conflicts of interest;
  • Understanding of corruption risks faced by building authority employees in their daily work;
  • Practical tools for mitigating these risks.

KNAB encourages building authority employees to register for the training by October 29 by completing the electronic registration form available on the KNAB website.
Participation is free of charge.

Additionally, KNAB reminds that according to Cabinet Regulation No. 630 of October 17, 2017“Regulations on Basic Requirements for Internal Control Systems for Preventing Corruption and Conflict of Interest Risks in Public Institutions” – all employees in public institutions exposed to corruption risks are required to participate in training on conflict of interest and corruption prevention at least once every three years.
