2025-10-29 10:00-11:30 WEBINAR: What Are Vertical Agreements and Why Should You Know About Them?
What are vertical agreements and why is it important to know about them?
A vertical agreement is a supply and distribution contract between a supplier and a buyer. These agreements relate to the terms of purchasing, selling, or reselling goods.
Vertical agreements between market participants are not prohibited, but it is the responsibility of the parties to assess whether the agreement, under both national and EU law, restricts competition and is therefore prohibited.
The webinar will provide a practical overview of key issues related to implementing vertical agreements in practice, helping to avoid competition law violations or to prevent them:
- What are vertical agreements? Why is it important for businesses to understand them?
- What are the types and principles of vertical agreements – how can they manifest?
- What restrictions in vertical contracts are strictly prohibited?
- What restrictions are allowed in vertical contracts and under what conditions?
- What to do if a company identifies a prohibited vertical agreement in its own or another company’s operations?
- How to consult with the Competition Council?
- When and where will the webinar take place?
October 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30, online via MS Teams platform.
