On 11 March 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30, a free online seminar “Current Developments in the Construction Sector” will take place on the Zoom platform, where industry experts will explain the most important changes and updates in construction regulation and practice.

The online seminar is organised by the Zemgale Region Competence Development Centre (ZRKAC) in cooperation with the State Construction Control Bureau (BVKB).

Unified construction registration process from 06.01.2026 – Baiba Vītoliņa, Director of BVKB

Functions of BVKB – division of competences between BVKB and local building authorities – Liene Putnika, Head of the Legal Department

Current developments in construction – Māris Demme, Director of the Construction Control Department

Periodic technical inspection in construction – Kristīne Griga, Head of the Building Operation Control Unit

International professional mobility in construction – regulation and practice in Latvia – Maija Kavosa, Head of the Certification Unit for Construction Specialists
