The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia invites innovative construction industry companies to apply for participation in the Latvian national stand at the international exhibition “The Buildings Show 2026”, which will take place from 2–4 December 2026 in Toronto, Canada.

The Buildings Show 2026 is the largest exhibition and conference in North America dedicated to design, construction, and property management. In 2025, the event featured more than 700 companies and attracted over 18,000 visitors. The exhibition programme also includes thematic seminars and conferences.

National stand

The planned LIAA national stand will cover 56 m² within the exhibition section “Homebuilder & Renovator Expo”. Companies will be selected for participation in the Latvian national stand based on the information submitted in the application form. No more than nine companies with the highest scores according to the selection criteria will be approved for participation.

Information for participants

If an applicant qualifies for support, the participation fee for the stand will be covered from the company’s available de minimis support amount. Companies will be responsible for covering travel expenses, transportation of exhibits, and any additional costs incurred.

The national stand is organized by LIAA within the framework of the European Union co-financed Innovative Business Development Programme for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, supported by the European Regional Development Fund and state funding. Companies may participate either by paying the full cost themselves or by receiving support. To receive support, companies must meet the eligibility criteria. Companies can verify their eligibility using the self-assessment calculator.

Participants will be responsible, individually or in cooperation with other participants, for organizing and financing the transportation of their exhibits to and from the exhibition, as well as for arranging and paying for exhibition service provider costs related to unloading and loading exhibits from transport vehicles, delivering exhibits to the stand and back, temporary storage of packaging materials, and other related services.

The stand concept will be developed by LIAA, which will also decide on the placement of participants within the stand.

English language proficiency is a mandatory requirement for exhibition participants.

Participants should also anticipate covering their representatives’ business travel expenses, including transportation, accommodation, daily allowances, hotel reservations, and other related costs.
