Trade Mission to The Buildings Show 2026 in Toronto

For the third year in a row, Latvian manufacturers and service providers from the construction sector are invited to apply for a trade mission to Toronto, Canada, taking place alongside The Buildings Show 2026 from 1–4 December 2026. Latvia will also be represented at the exhibition with a national stand.

The Buildings Show 2026

The Buildings Show is one of North America’s leading events for the construction and real estate industries, bringing together architects, designers, contractors, developers, engineers, building owners, and property managers.

In 2026, the event is expected to attract more than 18,000 visitors and over 700 exhibitors, while offering more than 120 educational sessions and extensive networking opportunities with industry professionals from across North America.

Trade Mission Objectives and Programme

The trade mission will include:

• Attendance at The Buildings Show 2026 from 1–4 December;
• Individual B2B meetings with potential business partners. Each participating company will have the opportunity to meet online with a consultant selected by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) to discuss the company’s objectives and export opportunities in the Canadian market. Based on each company’s interests and potential, suitable business partners will be identified and individual meetings arranged.

Where possible, B2B meetings will take place at the Latvian national stand. If meetings are organised outside the exhibition venue, participating companies will be responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Information for Participants

The working language of the trade mission is English.

Participation is limited to a maximum of 10 companies.

Following registration, LIAA will contact participants to discuss the detailed programme of the trade mission, which is currently being developed.

Participants should take into account the following costs:

• Participation fee: EUR 797.20 + VAT;
• if the company meets the eligibility criteria for de minimis aid, the participation fee will be covered under the support programme; if the company does not meet the criteria, LIAA will issue an invoice for the participation fee;
• travel expenses, including flights and local transportation.

The trade mission is organised by LIAA. Companies may participate either at their own expense or by receiving support, provided they meet the applicable eligibility criteria.

Companies receiving support may recover up to 60% of total eligible costs.

Following the event, companies that meet the applicable support and quality criteria will be able to submit a payment request through the liaa.business.gov.lv e-service. Before applying, companies are encouraged to review the conditions under the section “Trade Missions Abroad”.

The trade mission is organised within the framework of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Latvian state budget.
