To strengthen the security of the Construction Information System (BIS) and ensure a higher level of user identity verification, starting from Friday, 28 August 2026, access to:

• BIS1 – the workspace for certification bodies, independent experts, and company energy auditors;
• BIS2 – the internal working environment used by building authorities, issuers of technical regulations, and supervisory institutions,

will only be available using the electronic identification methods provided through Latvija.gov.lv, such as eParaksts, Smart-ID, eIDAS, or internet banking authentication.

The alternative authentication method currently available using an email address and password will no longer be supported.
