To promote the use of digital tools and the development of innovative approaches in the construction industry, the State Real Estate Agency (VAS “Valsts nekustamie īpašumi” – VNĪ), Riga Technical University (RTU), and the Latvian Standards Ltd. (SIA “Latvijas standarts” – LVS) have signed a cooperation memorandum to establish a new competition – the Digital Construction Excellence Award 2025.
The aim of the competition is to:

Highlight innovative construction solutions implemented in Latvia,

Inspire industry professionals to adopt modern technologies,
-
Promote the exchange of best practices and experience among industry stakeholders,
-
Inform public clients about the benefits of BIM projects,
-
Encourage the implementation of new BIM projects in the public sector.

Participation in the competition is free of charge and open to all interested individuals. Applications are open until July 31, 2025.
The goal of the competition is not only to recognize outstanding projects but also to create an environment for the exchange of ideas and information, thereby fostering the development of digitalization in the construction industry.

The jury of the competition consists of experts from the State Real Estate Agency (VNĪ), Riga Technical University, the Latvian Association of Architects, the Latvian Association of Building Contractors, the Alliance of Real Estate Developers, the State Construction Control Bureau, the Latvian Association of Heating, Gas and Water Technology Engineers, the Latvian Association of Structural Engineers, and BIM Solutions Ltd.
