As of Friday, August 1, amendments to the Building Regulations regarding the implementation of small construction projects have entered into force – from now on, new small buildings in villages, rural areas, and cities where construction is permitted may be built without any documentation.
This will significantly accelerate the implementation of small construction projects, reduce bureaucracy, and eliminate the volume of documents previously required. This is particularly important in rural regions, where these simplifications will promote activity and development.
With the entry into force of the amendments, no construction project documentation is required for the construction or placement of a small building (up to 25 m²) in villages and rural areas (except in territories of state-protected cultural monuments), nor for the construction or placement of a small building in a city plot where the construction of a single-family or two-family residential building is permitted (except in territories of state-protected cultural monuments). Such buildings include greenhouses, small saunas, sheds, and similar structures.
The amendments have been prepared in accordance with the tasks set in the Informative Report on Priority Measures to Reduce Bureaucracy in 2025, approved at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on April 22, 2025, in the field of construction.
