The winners of the "Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025" competition will be honored on September 18
Published Tuesday, 16 September 2025The jury of the "Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025" competition has completed the evaluation of this year’s submitted projects, and the winners will be celebrated at the closing event on September 18 this year.
We also invite media representatives to the competition's closing event. The event will take place on September 18, at 14:30, at the EviArt Gallery (Bukultu Street 7, Building 12). Registration for participation is mandatory – please register for the event by September 17, 12:00 here. The live stream of the event will be available on the "Dzīvo siltāk" campaign’s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@siltinam and the Ministry of Economics' Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ekonomikasministrija.
About the competition
We invited submissions for the "Most Energy-Efficient Building in Latvia 2025" competition until June 18 this year. This year, the competition received a total of 36 building submissions across 5 categories. During the summer, the jury evaluated all submitted applications and carried out an on-site evaluation of the buildings nominated for the second round. The competition results are currently being compiled to determine the most energy-efficient buildings of the year. You can learn more about the buildings submitted to the competition here.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, and the Latvian Association of Building Engineers. The competition regulations were prepared in collaboration with the partners of the "Dzīvo siltāk" campaign – the Latvian Association of Property Managers and Administrators, the Latvian Window and Door Manufacturers Association, Riga Technical University, Rīga Stradiņš University, the Building Materials Manufacturers Association, the Latvian Heat, Gas, and Water Technology Engineers' Association, the Sustainable Building Council, the Construction State Control Bureau, the State Fire and Rescue Service, SIA “Public Asset Manager Possessor,” the Rural Support Service, AS “Sadales Tīkls,” the Central Finance and Contracting Agency, and the Energy and Environment Agency.
The competition is co-financed by the EU funds. The supporters of the competition are SIA "Paroc," SIA "Saint-Gobain Building Products," SIA "Rockwool," Development Finance Institution Altum, AS "Latvenergo," VentSys, "Rīgas Siltums," AS "Sadales Tīkls," and SIA "Robert Bosch."
