Language requirements
Participation in the trade mission and its related events requires proficiency in English. If possible, it is preferable for participants to have knowledge of German as well.

Information for Participants

Participants should take into account the LIAA participation fee, calculated as the equivalent of 20 person-hours:

• If the company meets the de minimis aid eligibility criteria, the participation fee is covered under the de minimis framework;

• If the company does not meet de minimis criteria, LIAA will issue an invoice (hourly rate €29.88 + VAT);

• Individual transportation costs;

• Accommodation expenses (hotel).

The trade mission is organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).
Companies can participate either on a paid basis or with support, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Eligibility can be verified using the Self-Assessment Calculator on Business.gov.lv under Participation in Foreign Trade Missions.

By receiving support, companies can recover up to 60% of total eligible costs.
After the event, entrepreneurs meeting the quality criteria will be able to submit a Payment Request via the Business.gov.lv e-service.

Before filling in the application, participants are encouraged to review the activity conditions in the section “Trade Missions Abroad” on Business.gov.lv.

The trade missions are organized by LIAA within the framework of the European Regional Development Fund and the Latvian State Budget co-financed programme for the development of innovative entrepreneurship in SMEs.
