Guidelines for the Installation of Photovoltaic Systems

According to the National Energy and Climate Plan for 2021-2030 ( https://www.em.gov.lv/lv/nacionalais-energetikas-un-klimata-plans ), it is necessary to ensure resources, and especially fossil and non-sustainable resources significant reduction of consumption and simultaneous transition to sustainable, renewable and innovative use of resources, to ensure equal access to energy resources for all groups of society.

One of the most popular types of renewable resources is solar energy. The way of using this energy is rapidly developing in the Republic of Latvia, starting from 2011.

The guidelines are intended for a wide range of professionals and interested parties - specialists and construction specialists in the field of electricity, real estate managers and owners, state and local government institutions.

The guidelines are based on the experience of other countries, available research and regulatory documents. The developed guidelines promote a common understanding of the requirements of regulatory acts in the use of renewable energy resources and energy construction in the territory of the Republic of Latvia.
