“Work-related health problems of the hands, elbows and shoulders in construction”


Objective of the seminar:

To improve the knowledge of employers and occupational safety specialists on musculoskeletal disorders, with a particular focus on hand-related problems among construction workers. The seminar will cover workplace risk factors contributing to the development of these conditions, ergonomic solutions, early diagnosis options, as well as preventive and rehabilitation measures. This seminar is part of the series “Specific musculoskeletal disorders in different sectors.”


Target audience:

Occupational safety specialists, senior/competent occupational safety specialists, employers, trade union members, HR managers, occupational disease and occupational health doctors, and other interested participants.


Topics covered:

  • Workplace risk factors typical for the construction sector that contribute to work-related hand, elbow and shoulder disorders;
  • Early signs of work-related hand, elbow and shoulder disorders;
  • Treatment and rehabilitation options for these conditions;
  • Ergonomic solutions and preventive measures to reduce risks and prevent these disorders.
