BIS Artificial Intelligence Assistant for User Support

alt="" Published Friday, 27 March 2026

From today, 27 March, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant is available in the Construction Information System (BIS). It has been developed to support users in the construction and operation process, as well as in using BIS.

The AI assistant is designed according to the same principles as already well-known tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and others, but with a specifically developed knowledge base that includes:

  • 129 regulatory enactments related to construction, spatial planning, residential building management, and other related areas
  • The BIS Public Portal User Manual
  • Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
  • Explanations prepared by the Ministry of Economics and the State Construction Control Bureau

Please note that the AI assistant is currently operating in test mode – the answers provided may be incomplete or inaccurate, and the information provided must not be considered the official position of the State Construction Control Bureau. Users are encouraged to review the terms of use of the BIS AI assistant.

More detailed information about the use of the AI assistant will be provided in the second part of the BIS training webinar, which will take place on 8 April 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00, online via Microsoft Teams. See the webinar programme and access link in the Calendar on the BIS website.
