KNAB invites employees of municipal building authorities to participate in training on ethical building supervision
Published Monday, 13 October 2025The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) invites employees of municipal building authorities — building inspectors, civil engineers, and other specialists involved in the construction process — to participate in an online training on ethical building supervision.
The training, organized by KNAB, will take place online on 30 October from 10:00 to 12:00.

According to the analysis published by KNAB in March this year, building inspectors employed by municipal building authorities are exposed to relatively high risks of corruption and conflicts of interest, which are linked to various factors.
To strengthen the understanding of these risks and their prevention, as well as to improve awareness of corruption forms and manifestations, and to develop the ability to identify risks in time and act in accordance with legislation and ethical principles, KNAB invites municipal building authority employees to participate in this online training.
During the training, participants will gain knowledge about the essence and legal framework of conflicts of interest, better understand the corruption risks faced in their daily work, and acquire practical tools for preventing such risks.
KNAB invites employees of municipal building authorities to register for the training by 29 October by completing the electronic registration form available on KNAB’s website. Participation in the training is free of charge.
Additionally, KNAB reminds that Cabinet Regulation No. 630 of 17 October 2017, “Regulations on the basic requirements for an internal control system for preventing corruption and conflict of interest risks in public institutions”, stipulates a mandatory requirement for all employees in public sector institutions who are exposed to corruption risks to participate in training on the prevention of conflicts of interest and corruption at least once every three years.
