There will be a webinar on electricity generation for self-consumption in homes and businesses.
Published Thursday, 29 May 2025The Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, JSC "Sadales tīkls," and the Elektrum Energy Centre invite you to an informational webinar “Electricity Generation for Self-Consumption in Homes and Businesses” on June 4.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness about the possibilities of generating electricity for self-consumption and the benefits of energy communities, as well as to present the current regulatory framework and technical solutions.
The webinar will cover key aspects of electricity generation for self-consumption – from legislation and opportunities for energy communities to practical solutions for businesses and multi-apartment buildings. Experts will also remind participants about fire safety requirements and provide information on electricity procurement from energy communities and energy storage solutions using batteries.
Experts from the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Climate and Energy, JSC "Sadales tīkls," the State Fire and Rescue Service, Elektrum, and Enefit Ltd. will participate in the webinar. The agenda and registration link can be found here.
The event is organized within the framework of the Ministry of Economics’ informational campaign #LiveWarmer and the “Most Energy Efficient Building in Latvia” competition. This is expected to be the first in a series of events dedicated to electricity generation for self-consumption and related solutions.
