Riga Technical University is conducting a survey within the European Regional Development Fund project No. 1.1.1.3/1/24/A/014, “Integrated Renovation Solutions for Upgrading Existing Buildings to nZEB Level”.

The aim of the survey is to explore the experiences and views of residents of multi-apartment buildings regarding existing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, to better understand attitudes towards building renovation, and to assess the practical possibilities and willingness to introduce renewable energy solutions in multi-apartment buildings.

The project aims to develop effective and cost-optimised renovation solutions that would enable existing multi-apartment buildings to be upgraded to nearly zero-energy building (nZEB) level. Particular attention is being paid to energy-efficient building systems, the integration of renewable energy technologies into building energy systems, and the use of prefabricated, quick-to-install thermal insulation panels.

Participation in the survey is voluntary, and you may stop at any time. Completing the survey takes approximately 10–12 minutes. The information you provide will be used solely for research purposes to better understand the renovation needs of multi-apartment buildings and residents’ views.

No personally identifiable information will be collected, and all data will be processed anonymously. The results will be analysed and published only in aggregated form, without identifying individual respondents.

The survey was developed by the Institute of Sustainable Building Materials and Engineering Systems at Riga Technical University.
